Description

Few plants make a statement like Monstera Deliciosa. Its large, glossy leaves develop natural splits and holes (fenestrations) as it matures — a dramatic tropical look straight from the Central American rainforest.

Give it bright, indirect light and a little support to climb, and it will reward you with ever-larger leaves. In UAE homes, keep it away from harsh direct sun and cold blasts from the AC, and wipe the leaves occasionally so they can breathe and shine.

Care guide

• Light: Bright indirect light. A little gentle morning sun is fine.
• Water: Roughly once a week; let the top few centimetres dry between waterings.
• Humidity: Enjoys humidity; mist occasionally or group with other plants.
• Support: Provide a moss pole or trellis as it climbs.
• Pets: Keep away from pets; toxic if chewed.
